Data Storage and Security

• Authentication data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's secure storage APIs
• Room coordination data is temporarily stored on secure Supabase servers
• Video synchronization events are transmitted only between active room participants
• All data transmission uses encrypted HTTPS connections

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• Video synchronization data shared only with other participants in your watch party room
• Authentication handled securely through Google OAuth (no credentials stored on our servers)
• When required by law or to protect our rights and safety

Data Retention

• Room data is automatically deleted when rooms are closed or become inactive
• Authentication sessions expire and are renewed automatically
• No long-term storage of viewing history or personal preferences
• Local browser data is cleared when you uninstall the extension

• Clear all local data by uninstalling the extension
• Leave any room immediately to stop data sharing with other participants

Streaming Platform Interaction

ReelRoom interacts with video content on supported streaming platforms (Netflix, YouTube, etc.) only to:

• Detect video playback state for synchronization
• Execute play/pause commands for coordinated viewing
• We do not collect, store, or analyze your viewing preferences or history
• We respect the terms of service of all supported platforms

Children's Privacy

ReelRoom is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
